"become a saint at all costs... one lives only once"

"Padre do you know the latest idea that has come into my head?  It is to become a saint at all costs. I made this resolution yesterday evening. During my meditation I was thinking: one lives only once; it is certain that one shall die; and then one has to answer to God. And I know that this God punishes the wicked with eternal fire.

This malediction, Padre, causes me such fear. For the love of Jesus, send me your Angel to drive away the demon (whom, with the help of our Blessed Mother, I have overcome during the past two days;) and beg Jesus to give me the grace to fight victoriously."
