First time in English: "Conclave of 1958" by Benny Lai

On the somber 56th anniversary of one of the very most important dates of the Church (next to the Crucifixtion of Christ), TCW presents for the first time, a translation regarding the Papal Conclave of 1958 as related by Benny Lai, the well-known Italian biographer of "Siri" (Pope Gregory XVII).

Yes, and chose the name Gregory XVII. He had no need whatsoever to be "elected" at any future conclave(s), nor could be. His sorrowful reign "in eclipse" lasted from October 26th, 1958 until May 2, 1989.
